Strengthening the Leading and Supporting Role of Industrial Talents in the Real Economy

[Abstract]

This issue of Key Reference publishes an article entitled Strengthening the Leading and Supporting Role of Industrial Talents in the Real Economy. The article says the 19th CPC National Congress charts the course for the implementation of the strategy about building China into a manufacturer of quality and the development of industrial talents. Although Shanghai has a sound base of industrial talents, the talent team has a less granular structure with some core indicators less competitive, and the policies about industrial talents show a weak guiding and supporting role. In the future, Shanghai must advance innovation and upgrading in industrial talent policies through institutional reforms, explore renovation in the governance of industrial talents through institutional innovation, improve the ecology for the development of industrial talents through integrated services, and enhance the quality of talent training and supply through the combination between industries and education, so as to accelerate its construction as a global highland for creative industrial talents.
