This issue of Key Reference publishes an article entitled Enlightenment of Japan’s Experience in Rural Revitalization to Shanghai. The article points out that in the 1960s, Japan suffered from economic stagnation and other issues. In response, Japan promoted good convections between agriculture, rural areas and urban areas by implementing three core strategy groups, namely agricultural products, flexible utilization of regional resources and new technologies. Regarding the topic of how Shanghai can learn the experience in rural revitalization from Japan, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first, strengthen the agricultural infrastructure construction, boost the agricultural modernization development; second, support new-type professional farmers, enhance the vitality of rural development; third, strengthen the dominant position of agricultural operation, improve the social service system; fourth, encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, and develop leisure agriculture.
