On the evening of May 10, the Signing Ceremony of Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation among the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Shanghai Academy and Shanghai University was held at the Xuehai Hall of New Lehu Building on the main campus of Shanghai University. Professor Li Lin, member of the Academic Division of CASS, Director of the Institute of Law of CASS and Vice Chairman of China Law Society, Professor Wen Xueguo, Vice President of Shanghai University and Executive Vice President of Shanghai Academy, Zhang Jingui, Deputy Director of the Research Division of the Institute of Law, CASS, and all Party and administrative leaders of Shanghai University Law School attended the signing ceremony. Professor Zhu Cheng, Director of the Cooperation Division of Shanghai Academy, presided over the signing ceremony.

Professor Li Lin, Professor Wen Xueguo, and Professor Li Fengzhang, Vice President of Shanghai University Law School, signed the framework agreement on strategic cooperation on behalf of their parties respectively. The agreement was formulated in accordance with the cooperation agreement between CASS and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and the Charter of Shanghai Academy, embodying such principles as equality and free will, conformity of rights and obligations, and win-win. It aims to give a full play to the academic resources and influence of CASS Institute of Law and strengthen the development of Shanghai University (Law School) in the areas of discipline construction, talent training, project cooperation, and academic research via the cooperation platform of Shanghai Academy.

After the signing ceremony, Professor Li Lin gave a lecture at Shanghai University on Important and Difficult Issues Concerning Comprehensively Advancing the Rule of Law. The signing ceremony and the lecture were attended by over 200 teachers and students from Shanghai University.
