On the afternoon of June 4, 2015, the first session of the President’s Working Conference of Shanghai Academy was held at Room 308, Beida Building, the Yanchang Campus of Shanghai University (the conference room of Shanghai Academy). Li Peilin, President of Shanghai Academy presided over the meeting, and Li Youmei, Wen Xueguo, Zhou Guoping, Ji Weimin, Zhang Haidong and Chen Yao attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed and passed a proposal on the division of work among the leaders of Shanghai Academy, defined the responsibilities of each division, main persons in charge, and post arrangement, identified the construction plan for each research center and researcher demand, discussed and passed the proposal about the Rules of Procedures for the President’s Working Conference and President’s Regular Meetings of Shanghai Academy and the Process of Daily Work for All the Divisions and Research Centers of Shanghai Academy, passed the Interim Measures of Shanghai Academy about the Allowance Standards for Employed Personnel, and agreed to provide allowances to all types of personnel of Shanghai Academy according to the Interim Measures.

The meeting also discussed how to develop the rules and regulations of Shanghai Academy, and important work of Shanghai Academy in 2015, as well as corresponding budgets. It also decided that in 2015, Shanghai Academy will focus its work on industrial upgrading, innovation breakthroughs, integration in the Yangtze River Delta region, grassroots-level social governance, ways for Shanghai free-trade zone to maintain its leading position, ways to evaluate the free-trade zone and other key issues that the municipal government is concerned about and issues Shanghai faces in urban development.
