    Shanghai Academy Investigates Think Tank Construction in Beijing

    On July 2, the investigation team from Shanghai Academy and relevant workers from Shanghai University went to Beijing for an investigation into think tank construction. Wen Xueguo, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Academy, led the team, and Ji Weimin, Director of Secretariat of Shanghai Academy, Chen Yao, Director of Administration Division, Yang Huijun, Director of Research Division, and relevant workers from both Shanghai Academy and Shanghai University joined the investigation.

    The investigation team first visited Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, at Renmin University of China, where they were given a brief introduction of the institute by its Executive President, Wang Wen, exchanging ideas with the staff of the institute about talent recruitment, financial reimbursement, fruit popularization and other experience related to think tank construction, and hearing relevant suggestions.

    Afterwards, the investigation team went to the National Conditions Research Institute of Tsinghua University, to be received and briefed by the institute’s president, Hu An’gang, on relevant information and exchanging ideas about think tank construction. He also offered suggestions about how to build Shanghai Academy into a new-type think tank, and gave them relevant books as gifts.
