Report Series about Shanghai’s Social Quality

[Abstract]

These issues of the Survey Report publish articles entitled Report Series about Shanghai’s Social Quality. With six issues in total, the reports elaborate the survey of Shanghai’s social quality in terms of citizens’ political and social participation, assessment of social and economic security, environmental protection activities, social trust and population structure, and give suggestions based on Shanghai’s actual conditions. In terms of social and economic security, it suggests encouraging development of diversified social security models and advancing commercial insurance as a supplement to social insurance; in terms of social trust, it suggests intensifying development and execution of commercial laws and improving Shanghai’s commercial trust; in terms of population structure, it suggests properly controlling the constant expansion of the number of people who live alone; in terms of senior reemployment, it suggests promulgating local laws and regulations, expanding the channels for senior reemployment and improving reemployment consulting services based on the characteristics of seniors’ thirst for knowledge.
