Suggestions for Improving the Social and Economic Benefits of the Industrial Assistance Shanghai Provides to Xinjiang

[Abstract]

This issue of Key Reference publishes an article entitled Suggestions about Improving the Social and Economic Benefits of the Industrial Assistance Shanghai Provides to Xinjiang. After summarizing Shanghai’s experience in providing industrial assistance to Xinjiang, the article lists the difficulties Shanghai faces in the process, and gives suggestions about improving the economic and social benefits of the industrial assistance. First, Shanghai must make full use of the experience in platform construction, establish a platform for providing industrial assistance to Xinjiang, pool competitive resources and advance the progress of industrial assistance; second, Shanghai must view the industrial assistance from the perspective of national strategies and work to ensure the consistency between the general direction of industrial assistance and China’s industrial landscape; third, it must highlight the coordinated development between economy and society during industrial assistance, and value both social and economic benefits when choosing projects; fourth, it must take full account of the social impact when choosing projects under the industrial assistance move.
