Yang Huijun, Director of the Research Division of Shanghai Academy, Director of the Editorial Department of the Institute of American Studies of CASS, Associate Research Fellow, PhD in economics. He has acted as a cadre of the Planning Office of CASS and the General Office of the National Social Science Foundation of China, cadre of the International Division of Bureau of Sciences Research Management of CASS, International Researcher of America’s Kettering Foundation, and a diplomat of the Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of China in the UK. His research areas are American economy, economic history of the US, and American history. His representative works include Guide to the World States-The United States of America (monograph; the first edition in 2004; revision in 2015), Traffic Economy History of The United States (monograph in 2013), Classic Translations about American Family Businesses (chief editor for nine volumes, only translator for two books; 2005-2007), A Very Short History of the USA (2005), and A Very Short History of World War II (2004).
