Zhang Bin graduated from the School of Finance of China Renmin University, receiving a PhD in economics. Currently, he acts as a Research Fellow of the National Academy of Economic Strategy of CASS, Director of the Tax Research Room, Chief Expert of the Fiscal and Taxation Policy Simulation and Evaluation Laboratory of CASS, and Secretary-General of the Fiscal and Taxation Research Center of CASS. Concurrently, he serves as Director of the Chinese Finance Society; Managing Director of the Chinese Tax Institute, member of the Academic Committee; Director of the China International Taxation Research Institute, member of the Academic Research Committee; Director of the China Cost Research Society; and Special Tax Commentator of the State Administration of Taxation. His main research fields are fiscal and taxation theory and policy. He has published many monographs and textbooks, and tens of papers in professional journals such as Social Sciences in China, Finance & Trade Economics and Taxation Research Journal. His papers and research reports won multiple provincial and ministerial-level first prizes from the Chinese Finance Society, the Chinese Tax Institute and the China International Taxation Research Institute, and gained first, second and third prizes from CASS for excellent decision-making information.
