Ji Weimin, member of the Academy Affairs Committee and Director of the Secretariat of Shanghai Academy, Deputy Director-general, Secretary-General and Researcher of the Research Center for Youth, Humanity and Social Sciences at CASS, member of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Director-general of the Committee on Sociology of Youth, China Sociological Association, Managing Director of the 3rd China Youth & Children Research Association, Director of the Chinese Young Volunteers Association, and Managing Director of Beijing Youth Research Association.
His main research fields and directions include journalism and communication, communication ethics, and youth studies. He has participated in and presided over many state-level and provincial and ministerial-level major subjects. He has also published articles and papers on newspapers and periodicals. His main representative works include: Difficult Journalistic Self-discipline (Joint Authorship), Way to Knowledge——Interviews with Academicians, Blue Book of Teenagers——Annual Report on Internet Use by Minors in China, China: Views of Young Scholars, and the series of Investigation of National State of Affairs. His works won the Nomination Prize of the 2nd Government Award for Publishing, the Good Information Award from the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award from CASS, and the Special Award for Excellent Countermeasure Information from CASS. He was awarded the titles of “National Excellent Cadre of the Communist Youth League” and “National Excellent Cadre of the Communist Youth League of Central Government Departments”.
