Deputy Executive Director of the Humanities & Social Sciences Office of Shanghai University and Deputy Director of the School of Film and TV Art & Technology, Shanghai University.

WORK EXPERIENCE

He was awarded the title of Dawn Scholar of Shanghai Municipality and the prize of the 13th Henry Fok Young College Teacher Award by the Ministry of Education. He is also elected into the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University. He is a doctor and professor of Fudan University. His main research fields include Pan-Asia film, contemporary Chinese-language cinema industry and film & TV cultural criticism. His social and part-time posts include: Director of the Theory Criticism Committee, China Film Association, research fellow of the Beijing Film and Television Arts Research Base at Beijing Film Academy, expert judge of Shanghai Municipal Major Literary and Artistic Creation Leading Group, expert judge of Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation, member of the Film Examination Committee under the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV, Deputy Director of the Development Research Center at the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television-New Media Development Collaborative Research Base of Shanghai University, and responsible person of Humanities and Arts Studio Approved and Supported by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.

In recent years, he has published nearly 50 academic papers in core academic journals and magazines including Literature and Art Studies, Contemporary Cinema, Film Art and the Journal of the Beijing Film Academy, and presided over one project of the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science and six provincial and ministerial-level social science projects. He has written two works including Chinese-language Cinema and Pan-Asia Practice, and translated and edited nine works.
