    Nie Yongyou, Professor, Executive Vice President of the School of Economics of Shanghai University, Director of the Government Efficiency Research Center of Shanghai University. His main research fields are industrial economy, and resources and environmental economy. In recent years, he has presided over multiple provincial and ministerial subjects, such as cultural social science planning projects of the Ministry of Education, and key decision-making and consultation projects of Shanghai Municipal Government, and more than 30 subjects authorized by national ministries and commissions, local governments and enterprises. As a principal member, he has completed one project supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China, one project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and two international cooperation projects, including grade A basic disc research of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. He has published more than 40 academic papers in such journals as the South China Journal of Economics and China Population Resources and Environment, three monographs, and nearly 20 textbooks, compilations and translations. During 1990-1991 and 2002-2003, he acted as a visiting scholar at Ryukoku University and visiting researcher at University of Tokyo in Japan. He has won the title of Outstanding Young Teacher in Higher Education Institutions in Shanghai, and the first prize of Outstanding Teaching Achievement of Shanghai University in 2013. Currently, he acts as Managing Director and Secretary General of the Business Management Society for Chinese Higher Education Institutions, Director of the Shanghai Association for Scholars Returned from Japan, and full member of the Agricultural Economic Society of Japan, and concurrently part-time professor of Shanghai Economic Management College (Party School of Shanghai SASAC).
