On March 21, Li Chun and Huang Jianxiong, Vice Mayor and Deputy Secretary-General respectively of Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, and their party visited Shanghai Academy to hold talks about the construction and development of a big data industry park. Li Meng, research fellow of Shanghai Academy, chaired the meeting; and Li Youmei, the First Vice President of Shanghai Academy, attended the meeting. Relevant leaders and experts from Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Economy Informatization Commission, Shanghai Science and Technology Development Research Center, Shanghai Municipal Investment Group and other units were invited to attend the meeting.
During the talks, Vice Mayor Li Chun first introduced the background and provided an update on the construction of Fuzhou Binhai New Town and big data industry park, and put forward the need to learn from the experience of Shanghai. In response to the Fuzhou Municipal Government investigation group’s request, participant experts gave a comprehensive and in-depth introduction of Shanghai’s practices and experiences in industrial planning & layout, the operation and management mechanism of an industry park, innovation provided by an industry-university-research alliance, management and utilization of a fiscal fund, investment invitation and talent introduction policy of the park and successful cases of other big data industry parks, and put forward a number of suggestions for building the proposed big data industry park in Fuzhou. Participants also discussed ideas and moves for strengthening the cooperation among think-tank, government and enterprise groups.
Lin Xiangyang, General Manager of Mintou Investment Development Co., Ltd. of Fujian Free Trade Area of Fujian Provincial Investment Group, Ge Genwang, Director of the Shanghai Office of Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, and Ren Wei, Deputy Head of the Industry Promotion Group of the General Office of Fuzhou Municipal Big Data Leading Group, participated in communication and discussion activities.
