On the afternoon of September 10, 2015, an investigation group led by Hu Yunchao, Director of the Research Division of the General Office of China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP), visited Shanghai Academy and was received by Wen Xueguo, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Academy. Both parties had talks about cooperation.
Hu Yunchao said, they paid the visit in the hope of strengthening exchanges and cooperation with Shanghai Academy as a high-end think tank and learning experience in think tank construction. Shanghai Academy was established just three months ago, but has already developed certain influence. Wen Xueguo extended welcome to the visitors, and offered suggestion on the possible forms of cooperation based on the work contents of both sides. Finally, both sides reached an initial consensus on the sharing of decision-making consultation reports, project research, information channels and media resources and the joint organization of some meetings, and agreed to advance exchanges and implement relevant cooperation.
The CELAP is a State-level key cadre school dedicated to train high and middle-level Party and government cadres, senior executives in enterprises and public institutions, senior technical professionals, diplomatic envoys and cadres in the army. Besides teaching, the school also pays great attention to developing itself as a think tank. In 2014, it ranked the 15th among nationwide decision consulting institutions, and the 5th among nationwide political and Party construction institutions.
Attendees to the meeting also included Shi Zuliu, Deputy Director of Research Division of the General Office of the CELAP, Long Tan, Deputy Director of Division of Information and Culture, Chen Yili, Deputy Division-level Researcher of the Division of Information and Culture, as well as Yang Huijun, Director of Research Division, Shanghai Academy, and Chen Yao, Director of Administration Division, Shanghai Academy.
