Shanghai’s Policy Suggestions for Encouraging Entrepreneurs’ Creativity

【Abstract】

This issue of the Key Reference publishes an article entitled Shanghai’s Policy Suggestions for Encouraging Entrepreneurs’ Creativity. The article points out that the inclusive spirit of Shanghai merchants is an important component of the spirit of Shanghai. Shanghai has a prominent triple economic pattern of state-owned capital, private capital, and foreign capital, and to stimulate entrepreneurial creative spirit must focus on local context and strategy. From the respect of traditional Shanghai entrepreneurship and newborn entrepreneurship, the article considers that the weakness of local brands have a bigger impact on old "Shanghai merchants"; besides, the lack of innovative leading enterprises with industry control power seriously inhibits Shanghai entrepreneurship. The article further analyzes that Shanghai needs to change its policy thinking, and build an atmosphere tolerating non-malignant innovation failure, so as to promote the agglomeration of high-end innovative talents, form an entrepreneurial self-reinforcing environment, create an environment with fair competition and open access, strengthen the combination of craftsmanship, spirit, and entrepreneurship.
