Retrospect of Domestic Economic Situations in 2017 and the Outlook for 2018
【Abstract】
This issue of Key Reference publishes an article entitled Retrospect of Domestic Economic Situations in 2017 and the Outlook for 2018. The article points out that in 2017, China’s economy showed a stable and rising trend, with improved relations between supply and demand, enhanced development benefits, and strenghened risk control; the annual GDP growth grew by about 6.8%, which indicated the realization of the expected control objective. In 2018, China is expected to enter the first year of full implementation of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, and embark on a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country. According to the article, currently, international and domestic development still faces more uncertain factors, economic structure adjustment remains a daunting task, new and old conflict problems are interwoven with each other and become more complicated, and some prominent problems in unbalanced domestic development and underdevelopment remain unsolved. On the basis of further analysis in the article, the key points in 2018 are as follows: the first point is to maintain the stability of macroeconomic policy; the second point is to deepen the supply-side structural reform; the third point is to improve the quality of economic development; the fourth point is to support the development of the real economy; the fifth point is to effectively prevent and control financial risks; and the sixth point is to build a new pattern of opening up to the outside world.
