This issue of the Key Reference publishes an article entitled Promoting Shanghai’s Industrial Upgrading by Taking the Opportunity of Intergenerational Inheritance. The article first describes the difference between the first generation entrepreneurs and the second generation entrepreneurs in educational backgrounds and capabilities, formation of social networks and philosophies about corporate management, analyzes the changes caused by intergenerational succession and its influence on Shanghai’s industrial upgrading, and finally gives policy suggestions.
