Ideas about Opening Financial Services and Deepening the Reform in Free Trade Zones

[Abstract]

This issue of the Key Reference publishes an article entitled Ideas about Opening Financial Services and Deepening the Reform in Free Trade Zones. The article believes that the US exit from TPP doesn’t mean the reverse or termination of the trends of trade and investment liberalization and economic globalization, but is a necessary phenomenon seen in the tortuous development of things, and proposes to develop the 11 free trade zones into test fields or templates for the Chinese plan, and to further expand and deepen the opening-up and reform in border areas. In the field of trade, cross-border e-commerce must be included in the contents of the experiment. The aspects where breakthroughs are expected must be chosen in a differentiated manner for the reform and opening-up in border areas. In terms of financial opening-up, contents of open financial services, particularly targeted contents like financial leasing, must be prioritized. Legal experiment must be considered to improve business environment. Construction of the social credit system must be highlighted during the transformation of government functions.
