Wang Hongbo, Deputy Secretary General of the CPC Jiaxing Committee and Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Jiaxing Committee, and his party visited Shanghai Academy on July 19. Both sides conducted in-depth communications about subject research and project cooperation. Wen Xueguo, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Academy, chaired the meeting. Li Youmei, First Vice President of Shanghai Academy, was also present at the meeting.
According to Wang Hongbo, Shanghai, as the “bellwether” of the Yangtze River Delta city cluster and the pacesetter of reform and opening up, has accumulated many innovative practices worth learning, in urban construction, economic development, and social governance. The Policy Research Office of the CPC Jiaxing Committee hopes to strengthen cooperation with Shanghai Academy in order to get intellectual support for building Jiaxing into a modern city with international quality, through project cooperation, subject research, and a series of communications. Wen Xueguo gave a detailed introduction of the organizational structure, positioning, and objectives of Shanghai Academy, in the hope that both sides could frequently conduct cooperation and communication, and looked forward to the further cooperation between both sides in the future. Li Youmei said Shanghai Academy, as a Shanghai-based think-tank platform, is willing to promote humanistic, scientific, and academic communications between Shanghai and Jiaxing.
Li Shunhe, Vice Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Jiaxing Committee, and Zhou Longbin, Director of the Economic and Trade Division, accompanied Wang Hongbo in the visit. Yang Huijun, Director of the Secretariat of Shanghai Academy, Chen Yao, Director of the Administration Division of Shanghai Academy, Zhu Cheng, Director of the Cooperation Division of Shanghai Academy, and Li Meng, Research Fellow of Shanghai Academy, participated in the event.
